Class Content

“CLC was my favorite class at Sneed.”

- 8th Grader

Class Format

CLC is a quarter (9 weeks) class and is given elective credit at all Florence One middle schools as well as Hannah Pamplico Middle. Students leave their school campus to be taught at the host church. Religious based courses cannot be taught on public school property, so CLC partners with local churches that are close in proximity to each school to use their classroom space. CLC Teachers are employed, background checked and trained by CLC. At the host church a typical day includes: prayer time, Bible reading, content lecture, note taking, as well as class discussion. Generally, each week there is a test to access student understanding of the topics covered. Throughout the semester there are also a few Christian films that are viewed by the students to aid in their understanding of the life of Christ.
